The Fullness of God
Everyone knows that God is incomprehensible - meaning that we cannot fully comprehend His essence. But there are things that He Himself has revealed to us through Scripture.
One of His most prominent and often mentioned attributes is love. Many times the Bible says, God is love.
The highest expression of that love has been revealed to us in Jesus Christ. Just listen to what the apostle Paul writes about it:
"...that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to understand the love of Christ which surpasses understanding, that ye may be filled with all the fullness of God."
- Ephesians 3:18-19
What is especially amazing here is that we can know the love of God. He has given us the mind, heart, and revelation to see it in its fullness.
Of course, this takes time, reflection, and sojourning in Scripture. But each of us, as we look at what God has done for us, can begin to grasp the multifaceted nature of His love.
And as we come to know God's love, we ourselves begin to change. We learn to love - our loved ones, friends, enemies, family members, church, animals, and the world.
God's love fills us. And through us, it spreads further.
