God can do more than you ask for
"But to Him who by the power at work in us can do incomparably more than all that we ask or think, to Him be glory in the church in Christ Jesus to all generations, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen."
Ephesians 3:20-21
We come to God with requests and desires all the time. Every day we ask Him for something. God Himself says we need to come to Him and open our needs before Him. But even in these requests we most often do not dare to ask much.
Deep down, we often desire much more than we ask of God. We say, "Help," and "Please give wisdom to the doctors so that the illness will go away," but in our hearts we long for Him to intervene and heal without the help of doctors.
But the apostle Paul says that God can do incomparably more. You and I cannot even imagine what our God can do. One word was enough to revive Lazarus. At His word, storms are stilled, mountains are moved. Nothing is impossible for our God.
So the next time you ask God for something, remember that nothing is impossible for Him. Your prayers should be built on the hope that God can do whatever you ask, because He has enough power.
